SHIPPING POLICY

SHIPPING INFORMATION

Avant-garde Home offers free ground shipping on orders $100 and over (before taxes) - excludes Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S Territories. All shipping costs are automatically calculated in your shopping cart at check out. Our preferred courier is USPS however, we may ship via Fed Ex or UPS depending on the size of the order. 

For customers located in Hawaii, Alaska, and in U.S Territories, products must be shipped using 2-Day Air. 

At this time, Avant-garde Home does not offer international shipping.

Keep in mind that our candles and oils are made in small batches. If your desired item is in stock, your order will be shipped within 5 business days from the date of purchase. Extended processing times may occur during peak candle seasons (Fall and Winter).

Avant-garde Home ships merchandise Monday-Thursday, excluding major holidays. Orders placed on holidays and weekends will begin processing on the next open business day. You will receive tracking information once your order has been processed.

You will be notified via email if there are any shipping updates or delays.

LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES

All items purchased from Avant-garde Home, LLC are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you (purchaser/customer) upon our delivery to the courier. Once we issue you a tracking number, please look out for your package. You will receive shipping status updates for your order to the email submitted with your order. Please check your email to keep track of your order and date of confirmed delivery by the courier.

If your package was confirmed delivered by the courier tracking number and you did not receive it, please contact the courier as soon as possible to submit a claim. You may have to file a claim with the US Postal Inspector that investigates mail theft.

DAMAGED PACKAGES

If your products were damaged due to mishandling by the courier, please email us at CustomerCare@Avant-gardeHome.com with pictures of the damage and your order number within 5 days of the confirmed delivery.

INCORRECT ADDRESS

Avant-garde Home is not responsible for items delivered to the wrong address entered by the customer. Additional fees may be charged if the courier is unable to deliver to the address listed. We strongly encourage you to review your order before submitting to verify your shipping address. If you notice that your shipping address is incorrect after placing your order, please contact us immediately. If the product has not been processed we will update the shipping address for you.

If your package has already been shipped to the incorrect address that you entered on the order form, you may be able to intercept it by submitting a request with the courier.

RETURNS & CANCELLATION POLICY

RETURNS

As of March 2020, due to Covid-19, all sales are FINAL. We will update this policy to remove this restriction in the future as the infection rate decreases.

Avant-garde Home hopes that you are 100% satisfied with your order. However, if you are not satisfied, we are happy to offer a refund or exchange for eligible items. You must contact us for this refund or exchange within ten (10) days of receipt confirmed by the tracking number. 

Items must be in the original, undamaged packaging, unused, clean, and in resale condition.  We may require images before approving the return and all returned items will be re-examined upon receipt. For merchandise being returned for a refund, credit will be given for the amount of the order less the actual shipping cost via the original form of payment.

PLEASE READ TO DETERMINE IF YOUR ITEM IS ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN:

  • Due to the risk of contamination & tampering, Home Perfume Oils are final sale.

  • Avant-garde Home pillow covers, Lux Candles, and Lux Mini Tins may be exchanged or refunded, if in resale condition, less shipping cost.

  • Home Fragrance Accessories may be exchanged or refunded, if in resale condition, less shipping cost.

Please allow 3-5 business days for your return to be processed once the item is delivered to our warehouse. Additional time may be required based on your banking institution.

Avant-garde Home reserves the right to refuse the exchange or refund of any merchandise that we determine is not in resale condition.

Customers are responsible for all shipping cost as it relates to returns and exchanges.

SALE & PROMOTIONAL ITEMS

Only regular priced items are eligible for a refund or exchange. Sale/promotional items are not eligible for refunds or exchanges. All sale/promotional items are final.

GIFT CARDS

Gift cards are delivered by email and contain a unique gift card code that can be used at checkout to redeem its value. We are not able to access the gift card code as it's considered a form of currency, similar to a credit card. 

  • Gift cards are not reloadable and are not redeemable for cash. 
  • You may not use a discount code towards a gift card purchase.
  • You can't use a gift card to buy another gift card.
  • Gift cards expire 5 years from the date of purchase.
  • If you used a gift card to pay for the purchase and are issued a refund, the refund will be applied to the gift card.
  • You may click Resend gift cards from their order confirmation email if you misplaced the email containing your gift card.
  • If you are buying a gift card for someone else, then you must forward the gift card email to the recipient.

We are not liable for purchases made using a gift card that was stolen from a purchasers. We advise that a police report is filed with your local authorities if your gift card information is compromised or stolen. 

CANCELLATIONS

To cancel your order, please send an email with the transaction details within 24 hours after placing your order. If the order has not been processed, we will cancel the order immediately. Please review your orders carefully and request cancellations before we process the order. If you try to cancel the order after it has been processed, the order will be subject to the return conditions listed on this site.

ORDER CHANGES

To make a change to your order before it's shipped; please contact us via email at CustomerCare@Avant-gardeHome.com as soon as possible. Please include your name and order number in the subject header.

Shipping and return details listed on this site have been added so that you can read our terms, conditions, and policies before ordering. Once you have placed your order that qualifies as acknowledgment and acceptance that you understand and will abide by our guidelines and agree to the terms, conditions, and policies on our site.
